They DROVE the plastic all the way across the map instead of using the train.
I built a clothing factory at my farms needing crops, animals, and plastic, just to experiment. I have my crop/animal product DLC farm all the way on the right side. I track the trucks and they are going alllllllllllll the way down to the ocean front commercial. You can see more warehouses there and a line of trucks leaving them. I even have a warehouse right next to the station for convenience but they want to drive instead. They just bypass it and choose to use the road. The thought was they will transport materials back and forth and clear up the roads, but nobody uses either.
So I built 2 cargo terminals, one at point A, one at point B, connected by tunnels. There is a cluster of industry around point A, and a bunch of commercial near the ocean. I have major traffic issues going from the right side to the left.
